In October 2020, the Ukrainian NGO Moloda Cherkaschyna developed a video to encourage political leadership of women, including women with disabilities. The video was produced ahead of Ukraine’s local elections with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and Global Affairs Canada. A transcript of the video is available below.

Woman 1: Today is an important day. I’m a little worried, but I’m very confident in my choice.
Man 1: I am ready to support her.
Woman 2: Everyone is waiting for you, go!
Woman 1: Yes, I dreamed about it and it’s my choice – to change the country for the better, rooted in my experience and knowledge.
Woman 3: And we also dream that politics should be everyone’s business, not dependent on gender. Politics has no colors or restrictions, stereotypes or gossip. Politics is honest, it is a matter of life. Let’s make a difference together!
