In 2019, Handéo, a French disabled persons’ organization (DPO), released an updated version of its guide on how to promote access to elections for people with disabilities. The guide was released following a recent change to the Electoral Code, which enables people who are under guardianship to vote. The guide, which is available in French, aims to raise awareness about disability rights, encourage the creation of accessible campaign materials, and provide guidance on organizing civic education workshops.
