In April 2015, Statistics Sweden (Statistiska centralbyrån, or SCB) released the findings of a study on the voter turnout of persons with disabilities in the 2014 elections for the European Parliament and the Riksdag. It was reported that the election participation of persons with disabilities was somewhat lower than the rest of the population, and that persons with physical, visual, or anxiety-related disabilities appeared to be most affected.
