Section 2 states:

(1) Elections shall be by universal suffrage and by equal and secret ballot.

(2) Suffrage may be direct or indirect under the terms and conditions provided for by the Constitution and by this law.

Section 14, subsection 1 states:

Temporary incapacity of a member shall be duly established by Elections Cameroon. Where such incapacity exceeds 6 (six) months, the duties of such member may be terminated by decree of the President of the Republic.

 

Section 15 states:

An Electoral Board member’s term of office may be terminated in one of the following cases: - physical or mental incapacity duly established by the Electoral Board…

 

Section 25, subsection 2 states:

The term of office of the Director General or Deputy Director General of Elections may be terminated in one of the following cases: - physical or mental incapacity duly established by the Electoral Board…

 

Section 47 states:

Whoever:…(f) is insane or of unsound mind, shall not be entered on the electoral register.

Section 105 states:

(1) Any elector suffering an infirmity or whose physical state makes them unable to carry out on their own, any of the operations described in Sections 103 and 104 above, may enlist the assistance of an elector of their choice.

(2) The elector chosen must be registered on the electoral register of the polling station concerned and shall not be a candidate or representative of a candidate, list of candidates or political party. They may not assist more than one elector on polling day.
